Green Hummer
I was lucky enough one summer to have this humming bird make a nest in a tree right in my backyard.
Baby Humming Bird
The bird in our backyard had two offspring and they both made it long enough to fly away, despite a neighbors cat killing about 4 other babies from other birds in our yard.
Golden Eagle
A golden eagle stares straight over at the summit of Mt. McKinley, no doubt contemplating giving it a try.
Mangrove Black Hawk
A jungle hawk rests on a rainy day. I don't know if it's left foot is injured or just cold. Buteogallus anthracinus subtilis, nests in mangrove swamps and generally eats crabs.
Mangrove Black Hawk 2
A close up on a tropical bird of prey. The tropical hawks are cool to watch as they fly under the jungle canopy. This bird's beak and claws are covered in sand. No surprise for an animal that mainly eats crabs off the beach.
